Andrea's visit

well, I havent written in like 2 weeks. Booo! Shame on me. I only have 1 follower anyway.....so far.

What has happened in the last 2 weeks?

Andrea, Jays sister, has come for a visit. She is here from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. It was fun. We did things like go shopping and spend money. We went to the coolest little BBQ joint for her b-day, which was on the 22nd. There was good food and good company. A cool band was playing that night too. But, ya know, its hard to do anything entertaining for adults when you have children with you......I couldnt find a babysitter, and I dont believe in leaving my children out for things......dont argue with me, I know there is a time and a place to leave the children to have some "adult time". I just dont think its necessary to have them babysat when I could just as easily bring them along and have them experience the same things we are. Its just hard to let loose when your child wrangling.........that would be why I always have my kids with me;)
Dont worry, it was totally appropriate to have them at this b-day party......

What else did we do?

We did alot of shopping. We went to famous footwear where I found the Doc Marten club toe ankle boots for 69.99!!!! Oh heeeeeeeck!!! Yes!!! Yes!!! Yes!!! Did you hear me people?!!! 69.99! Thats right, down from 139.99!!! By the way, I almost had an asthma attack when I saw them. My chest got tight, shallow breathing had come in to play, I thought my head was going to pop off!........
After my totally agregious display right in the front of the store I realized I had Andrea with me. She probly saw the "almost popping" of my head, and then I calmed down.
Dont dismay people. I called Jay to make sure he hadnt bought them already for x-mas and informed him that I was walking to the counter. There was nothing he could do folks. I was locked AND loaded, boots in one arm card in the other!!!
Did I mention, it was also Famous' half price sale?.........MacKelty also got some adorable Nike with pink checks for like 15 bucks.
Oh yes homies! I walked out of that store and only spent like 85 dollars!! WOOT!!!......less than 100.00 is good for me!

ok, calm down Aerial! We did do alot of shopping and not alot of anything else durring Andreas visit to my house. Which brings me to my lovely sister in law to be taking her away from me. Folks, you know how I am. I need my space! Having 3 full grown people, I say full grown because I refuse to be an adult on occassion, and 2 kids in a 900 square foot house is not such a good thing sometimes. So Andrea went to visit Tom and Amber for a few days.......they are much more interesting than me anyway.

Thats it for this blog......I'll be writing more later tonight about the last 2 weeks.

Ok, so I've been reading through some of these blogs and thought that maybe I should have some stuff written when people start hearing that I have one. So here is what is going on in my head right now.

I've been thinking about Matt going to Tennessee and how I am going to help Gage handle that. Its not like he actually sees Gage all the time anyway. I think we have seen him as many times as I have fingers in the last 2 and a half years. But Matt is my baby's biological daddy and I know Gage has a connection with him even if he doesn't see him. But I'm sure its going to hurt for Gage when he can really realize whats happening.

Maybe I wont have to deal with it until later in his life but I can't help but worry about my son. And honestly, who knows if Matt will actually move or not. He's said alot of things and never done them.

Anyhow, thats what has been plagueing my thoughts lately. Amongst other things like, how am I going to get through school as quickly as possible? Who knows!!! Now that I've decided not to be a nurse so many good things have happened! Like, I can have a baby as soon as we have a place to put it (like a bigger house). I wont have to wait until nursing school is done to have another child. I dont have to hurry and suffer through classes that I have no motivation to do. I think thats the best thing about changing my major. I get to take classes that are engaging and interesting to me.

What else is going on in Aerial-ville? Well, I like blogging. And my kids are the best thing ever! I think the sweetest thing in the world is having my baby girl raise her arms up and ask me with those sweet little eyes to hold her and give her some "loves". She doesnt talk yet so she tells us everything with signs and body language.
The other night we were getting ready for bed and Gage came up and sat by me on the couch and put his head right in my side and wrapped his arms around me and whispered in my ear "I love you mama". Ahhhh brings a tear to my eye....... The funniest thing about it is that he's so secretive about his "loves" that he hides it from Jay and doesnt want anyone to know. Typical boy behavior. ;)

I guess I will get some pics up soon and jazz this page up a little bit but until then.............

hello all!!

I guess this is going to be a journal of the day to day events in our lives. Yay! I'm excited, everyone I know(seems like) has a blog like this one!........I'm joining the masses.

I'm looking at this like one of those talks in sacrament meetings where the bishop asks you to speak 3 weeks after you move into the ward. True statement, we really did speak 3 weeks after we got married.
So what do you do when your asked to speak when your brand new?.........you do the whole introductory thing, right?.....hence the subject of this blog.

If you read the little profile thingy, sorry, this is going to be repetitive.

Jay, my wonderful-couldnt ask for more, husband and I got married September 15, 2006 in the Manti temple. What a day that was!.........the best day of my life! It was a beautiful overcasty day. There were little pockets of blue peeking through shadowy clouds. It made for great pics! We were also able to have Gage sealed to us that same day in the temple. I am forever grateful for the blessings that Jay has brought into my life.
So, guess what! I got pregnant that following November. Yeah, I know, that was quick. But we did plan it that way. And out MacKelty came on a Friday morning in August. She is sooooo beautiful!
I tell you all this wedding stuff because thats when my life basically began. I was no longer a single mother but a wife AND mother with the world at my feet, and 2 awesome boys to do my bidding!!! HAHAHA!.......isnt that why we have husbands and children?.....to have slaves?........isnt that right mom? we have children to be slaves?;)

But anywho, if we're doing this the church way......Jay grew up in Idaho and went to Minico High School. He later moved to Layton, Utah and then to Ogden shortly after. I grew up in West Valley City, Utah with ties to Manti. I went to Cyprus High School (YEAH GO PIRATES!!! ARGHHHHH!!!). Where I found myself attending SLCC right after. I work at Pioneer Valley Hospital and Jay works for a company called SpectraSymbol. He also works in the float pool for IHC.
We have 2 children. A rambuncious little boy, who if I could harness his energy would be the richest person in the world!! And a baby girl who is a dainty little flower.
My creatures (the kids) are my life! Sometimes they're the only thing that keeps me going......to work and school.......yup still in college;)

What else can I tell you? I think thats about it for now. If I think of more I'll write more.

enjoy the reading
